Michelle Keegan deserves to win Sexiest Female at the Inside Soap Awards, according to Coronation Street’s Catherine Tyldesley.

The actress – who plays feisty Eva Price on the ITV1 show – thinks her co-star is more worthy of the title than her and has urged fans to vote for brunette beauty Michelle to win at the ceremony on September 24.

Catherine told Inside Soap magazine: ”Personally, I think everyone should vote for Michelle Keegan [Tina] – she’s one of the most beautiful women in the world.

”I wouldn’t bother campaigning. Michelle’s earned it, so give it to her!”

‘The Royle Family’ actress Sue Johnston has joined the ‘Corrie’ cast as Eva’s gran, Gloria, and Catherine says fans will finally see where her unlucky-in-love character gets her diva tendencies.

She enthused about Sue: ”She’s hilarious. We’re going to see where Eva gets her diva genes from, that’s for sure! Like Eva, Gloria speaks before she thinks all the time, so that’s just great fun.

”I love the dynamic they’ve created with our family, because now Stella, Leanne and Eva are all closer, and Gloria completes the set. Sue is a joy to work with.”
