Now’s new columnist, Coronation Street actress Michelle Keegan, 25, reveals her high street lust-haves and beauty tricks.

‘When I started working at Corrie five years ago I didn’t know what to wear and I had no idea why things looked good,’ says Michelle. ‘But now I learn so many tips from stylists and make-up artists and I can’t wait to share them with you. I’ve always been a Now reader, so I’m really excited to be joining the team.

Welcome to Now, Michelle! Have you planned your New Year’s Eve outfit yet?

‘I don’t want anything too fussy, but because it’s a special occasion I want to buy something new. I went online to boohoo.com and saw some jackets with matching shorts that I like.’

Do you prefer shopping online?

‘Yes, at the moment. I was working so much in December, I didn’t have time to go out. But somehow I got distracted and ended up shopping online for me!’

What’s your go-to party make-up look?

‘I like smoky eyes, false lashes and strong, dark lips.’
