Michelle Keegan has thanked a psychic for warning her ex-boyfriend Max George would cheat. The Coronation Street star visited ‘spirit guide’ Cara Crompton last year when she predicted The Wanted singer would be unfaithful on the band’s US tour. The couple split in the summer after 19 months of dating when a photo was published in The Sun newspaper showing the pop star kissing a blonde girl in a Newcastle nightclub.
Michelle, 25, posted a testimonial on Cara’s website when she was stunned by the correct prediction. She wrote: ‘She accurately predicted some very personal and painful things. At the time I was skeptical and really did not believe the things she was saying. She turned out to be spot on.’ The 24-year-old singer has always denied cheating on the actress – who is now dating The Only Way Is Essex star Mark Wright, 26.
Cara claimed she didn’t know who Michelle was until she arrived, and knew nothing about her private life. She recently commented in Spirit and Destiny Magazine: ‘During my pre-reading meditation I received the name Max and was told that he was her fiance who was involved in the music industry. I saw her visiting America with him then her returning home and him telling her lies over the phone as he’d cheated on her with other women. I then saw the story of his behaviour splashed all over the tabloid newspapers.’
Michelle and Max got together in December 2010, before Max popped the question with a £10,000 ring in June 2011. With Max spending most of last year in the US with The Wanted, the relationship became somewhat strained and the pair revealed they had called off their engagement in April 2012. But the final nail in the coffin came last July July when Max was seen kissing a pretty blonde during a night out.
Since the split, Max’s ex-girlfriend, Bobbi Aney, came forward to claim she and the star shared a series of sexy texts throughout his relationship with Michelle. Mark and Michelle, who plays Tina McIntyre in ITV soap Coronation Street, have remained coy over their relationship since getting together late last year.
